Mahonia Soft Caress is a unique plant which brings texture to a shade garden with its bamboo like foliage. Soft Caress bears a bright yellow bloom in Winter which sits atop its foliage. It contrasts well along side ferns and hostas in the landscape. When planting this Mahonia， dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil， then leave the top of the root ball 1/2 inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow release granular fertilizer in Spring. Not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival.
