The Texstar Peach Tree was developed by Texas A&M University as a cold hardy peach variety for home gardeners. Texas star peach has a red blush fruit that ripens in summer. The blush fruit is semi clingstone with yellow flesh and blush centers. Before the medium to large sized fruit ripens to maturity in June， early spring flowers that are pink appear to put on a delightful spring show. Peach Texstar is a great self pollinating peach variety for home gardeners due to the heavy bearing fruit load. There's no need to plant more than 1 for cross pollination. Having 2 peach tree varieties in your fruit orchard will help increase the amount of fruit being produced.
